LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — An Aldi grocery store is in the planning stages for a new location in Henderson.
Planning documents filed with the city last month list the planned location as 621 Marks St., at the corner of Sunset Road.
That address is the site of the former Bed, Bath & Beyond. The location closed after the chain declared bankruptcy and liquidated all of its stores last year.
The building covers about 30,000 square feet.
Based in Germany, Aldi operates more than 12,000 discount supermarkets in 18 countries, of which more than 2,100 are in the United States.
The Henderson location would be the first Aldi market in the state of Nevada.
A Henderson city spokesperson said the application remains under review.
